How to Prepare

Filleting a Barramundi
Lay the fish & hold firm while you run the knife from head to tail along the dorsal fin

 
 

Try to make sure you run the knife close to the back bone so as to leave as much flesh on the fillet

 
 

Cut through the bones that meet with the back bone(so as to not damage the fillets)

 
 

Remove the fillet from the fish (you should try to keep all flesh on the fillets with clean bones)

 
 

Carefully remove the bones that are left (the bones are now on the surface, so try not to cut into the fillet
